摘　　要：文章在上海实地调研的基础上 ,从理论和实际两个方面探讨了老年人口贫困和保障问题。认为老年贫困人口问题将是我国社会主义初级阶段长期面临的严峻挑战。因此 ,我们一定要密切关注人口老龄化的发展趋势 ,结合中国的实际情况 ,因地因时地采取应对措施 。Based on the survey in Shanghai, this paper probes into the poverty and security for Chinese elderly. It concludes that poverty of aged population will be a long-term challenge to China's modernization, hence more attention should be paid to the trend of population aging and measures should be taken to deal with the problem of poverty for the aged population.
