摘　　要：文章认为 ,在计划经济体制下形成的我国地质工作运行机制 ,不能适应市场经济体制的要求 ,必须进行改革。要按照地质工作不同的经济属性 ,把地质工作分为商业性的和公益性的 ,并确定其不同的运作方式。要按照不同的运作方式 ,加强地质工作的法制建设。The working mechanism of geological work, formed under the system of planned economy, does not meet the need of the market economy at the present time in China. Thus, it is necessary to reform this mechanism. The author puts forward ideas regarding the division of geological activities into public and commercial areas, based on their different economic natures. Also, the paper discusses how the legal framework of geological work could be strengthened.
