Stepwise femoral and tibial lengthening operation on adult patients

摘　　要：目的　设计股骨胫骨分段延长术治疗严重短肢合并股骨前倾角畸形疑难病例。方法　 1990年 5月～ 1999年 12月用该术式实施的脊髓灰质炎后遗成人严重短肢合并股骨上端畸形 12例。结果　随访时间最短 2a,最长 9a ,平均 6a。 12例中胫骨延长从 3.5～ 5 .5cm ,平均 4 .4cm ;股骨延长 1.6～ 3.5cm ,平均 2 .7cm ,股骨胫骨共延长 5 .1～ 8.5cm ,平均 7.1cm ;前倾角畸形明显改善。Objective To devise an operative technique of femoral and tibial lengthening to correct the deformity of severe short limb accompanied by femoral anteversion.Methods From May 1990 to December 1999, 12 patients with severe short limb deformity complicated by femoral superior end deformity as sequelae to poliomyelitis were treated by stepwise femoral and tibial lengthening.Results The 12 patients were followed up for 2 to 9 years,with a mean of 6 years. The tibiae were lengthened from 3.5 to 5.5 cm,with a mean of 4.4 cm;the femora were lengthened from 1.6 to 3.5 cm,with a mean of 2.7 cm; the total lengths were increased from 5.1 to 8.5 cm,with a mean of 7.1 cm. The femoral anteversion deformities were corrected remarkably.Conclusion Stepwise femoral and tibial lengthening operation is effective for correction of the deformity of severe short limb accomfounied by the deformity of femoral anteversion.
