弧丽金龟属一新种(鞘翅目:丽金龟科)  

A New Species of Genus Popillia Serville (Coleoptera: Rutelidae) Collected from Guangxi Province, China

摘　　要：记述采自广西弧丽金龟属Popillia 1新种:黑边弧丽金龟Popillia sabatinellii,sp. nov.。模式标本保存在广东省昆虫研究所。In this paper is described a new species:Popillia sabatinellii, sp. nov. in Chinese. the type specimens is kept in Guangdong Entomological Institute, Guangdong, China. Popillia sabatinellii, sp. nov. (Fig. 1) ♀, length: 10.5 mm, breadth: 6.5 mm. Black-green, with a strong metallic lustre; elytra red-brown, elytral suture and broad border black-brown. Propygidium has a row of hairs along hind margin, pygidium bearing two transverse hairy spots at base, abdomen decorated with a row of hairs each segment. Clypeus densely and strongly rugosed, forhead rather strongly and not closely punctate, rugosed anteriorly. Pronotum finely but rather strongly laterally, punctate, hind angles obtuse. Elytra each with six shallow punctural striae, subsutural interval broad, with rather close and strong punctures. Pygidium not very convex, densely and strongly, transversely punctate. Mesosternal process large and compressed. Vaginal palps of female genitalia as shown in Fig.1. Holotype ♀, Guangxi: Jaoshan, Ⅶ, coll. Prof. Sin G. Similar to P. subquadrata Kraatz in appearance, but larger in body size, the pronotum finely punctate and the hind magin of the propygidium hairy. The only type specimen is kindly sent by Dr. Guido Sabatinelli. Popillia hirta Lin (1978) was incorrectly put as synonym to P. cupricollis Hope (1831) by Dr. Sabatinelli. They can be separated by some of obvious diagnostic features and the author has checked the type of P. cupricollis Hope in the British Museum (Natural History).
