摘　　要：通过研究比较英语语句的聚合关系,解释了英语句法的内涵及其变化形式,揭示核心句和转换句之间的关系,描述了英语句法的抽象表现形式,将英国句法理论大师马修斯介绍给国内学者,从另外一个角度为国内学者研究句法理论提供参考。This paper studies and analyses Matthews ' syntactic theory,especially paradigmatic relations.It illustrates the kernels and transforms of English sentences,explains the contents and various forms of these sentences and finally describes the abstract representations.The paper is gifted to domestic scholars who have been concentrating on syntactic theories.
