摘　　要：随着多媒体技术和Web技术的发展,出现了大量的多媒体数据。为了更好地管理和检索多媒体数据,我们需要一种描述多媒体内容的标准。本文根据标准化的描述框架—MPEG-7,提出了视频对象特征提取与检索系统中的描述原型,主要包括MPEG-7标准的内容描述和视觉描述。最后,讨论了一些与视频描述相关的问题。With the rapid development of multimedia and Web technologies, a great deal of multimedia data has become available. For managing and retrieving multimedia data better, we need a standard for multimedia content description. In this paper, based on the description standard MPEG-7, we present a description prototype for video object feature extraction and retrieval systems, which includes content description and visual description. Finally, We also discuss some new research problems related to video description.
