摘  要:本文用纯化空气流加热除碳法,使 Al_2O_3中的碳含量从130×10^(-6)减少到50×10^(-6)60×10^(-6)。用这种 Al_2O_3和含碳量为100×10^(-6)—150×10^(-6)的 Y_2O_3的熔料生长出无气泡和无光弥散区的长度在150mm 以上的 Nd∶YAlO_3单晶。There are some carbon impurities in Al_2O_3 decomposed fromAmmonium Aluminium Sulfate by heating.Under the condition of high tempe-rature and lacking of oxygen,the reactants of carbon with Al_2O_3 such as Alu-minium Carbide (Al_4C_3) are the harmful impurities which give rise to bubblesand light-scattering particles in YAlO_3 crystals during the crystal growth,therefore,this kind of Al_2O_3 are not suitable for YAlO_3 crystal growth.Someimpurities carbon in Al_2O_3 have been removed by the method of heating throughpurified air current,as a results,the content of carbon impurities in Al_2O_3has been reduced from 130×10^(-6) to 50~60×10^(-6).It is successful that Nd:YAlO_3single crystals of more than 150nm in length without bubbles and light-scattering particles has been grown from the molten materials which are prepa-red with the Al_2O_3 and Y_2O_3 containing 100×10^(-6) to 200×10^(-6) carbon.
