摘　　要：根据观念建构利益的基本观点 ,本文梳理了一二八事变中英国对于中日冲突的立场的曲折转变过程 ;分析了在这种转变背后 ,英国内部在如何规范其在华利益上 ,传统殖民主义观念与现代国际关系准则的交织与冲突 ;评估了这种转变在英国的远东均势构想、制日集体安全机制的形成以及中英关系的转型方面的效应。Based on the fundamental viewpoint that idea constructs interest,this article describes a process in which Britain has made subtle changes in her stand toward the Sino-Japanese conflicts during the incident of January 28,1932.It tries to analyse,behind these changes,the intricacy and conflicts between the traditional colonialist doctrine and the modern principles of international relations inside Britain on how to deal with her interest in China.It assesses then the effects of these changes on the British plan for the balance of power in the Far East,the growth of the institution of collective security against Japan and the structural change of Sino-British relations.
