摘  要:经学产生于汉武帝“罢黜百家,独尊儒术”之后,它不过是维护绝对权力的思想工具。由于它从此将中国古代知识分子囿于一个狭小的思想天地之中,这就使中国知识分子的性质发生了根本的蜕变,即使知识分子放弃了追求真理的天职,而成为几千年来专制政治的忠顺奴仆,从而极大地制约了中国文化的发展进程。通过对西汉时代经学与中国古代知识分子关系论述,应能正确把握中国古代知识分子的这一历史走向。The study of Confucian writings was created after Han WuDi Emperor put forward his thinking that Confucianism was the only orthodox school far beyond any other thinking considered heterodoxy. In fact, It is just an idea created to defend the absolute power of the dictator. To a large extent, this idea narrowed the thinking space of the intelligentsia in ancient China. Due to the above reason, the intelligentsia was changed to be servants in absolutism but not to pursue the real truth in the world. In this aspect, study of Confucian writings had ever hindered the forward step of Chinese Culture. The relationship between The study of Confucian writings and the intelligentsia in ancient China was discussed in this paper to reveal the tendency of the intelligentsia in their thinking area during the past hundreds of years.
