摘　　要：In 2003, the world oil tanker fleet ( including 300 gt and over) is totaled 9807 ships and 333.17 million dwt. It takes 40.8% of the world commercial ship fleet measuring in dead weight tons. The annual tonnage growth rate between 1999-2003 is 1.5% and the average ship age is 18.3 years.
