摘　　要：通过对美国《时代》周刊的新闻文本分析,研究除了其独特语言风格和写作风格之外的新煽情主义。这种新煽情主义是美国《时代》周刊在近80年的发展历史之后,其写作风格所呈现出的一种新趋势。具体表现为:"宣传性"用语(propagandaism),造词主义(coinism),谐谑化用语(colloquialism),色情性用语(porn),弄臣式行文(newsastroupe)。通过对文本的分析和体察,对其语言的瑕疵有所鉴别,这将有助于中国学生更好地学习以《时代》周刊为代表的外刊的语言精华。Analytically speaking, not all of the language styles championed by TIME are 'English learning friendly'. The genre of entertainment news is termed as neosensationalism, which can be narrowed down to these basic elements: propagandaism, coinism, colloquialism, porn and news as advertisement. By selecting and examining the main issues of 2002 of TIME, I drew the aforementioned conclusion.
