摘　　要：闵福德对霍克斯“作者自云”一节译文评价极高。本文从语篇翻译的角度分析了这段译文中四个传译重点的处理 ,认为该译文“化”得之境与原文的语篇交际价值和整体艺术效果是一致的 ,说明在翻译过程中译者基于语篇翻译的“写作”是合理的、必要的。John Minford has made a favorable review of David Hawkes' translation of “The Author's Words” of A Dream of Red Mansions. Based on a detailed analysis of Hawkes' translations of four keys in light of the viewpoint of translation as text, this paper, in conclusion that Hawkes' version is a transformation of the original in terms of communicative purpose and textually artistic quality, confirms that the translator has good reason and is justified in employing his writing talent in the course of translating a text which he considers an integrated unit.
