摘  要:主要对多模光纤光栅的应变传感特性进行了实验研究,实验结果表明,光纤光栅的Bragg波长随轴向应变的变化呈现出良好的线性关系,而且其重复性相当好。实验测得的应变灵敏度为0.0011nm/(×10-6),与理论计算值相符。这些特性与单模光纤光栅的传感特性基本相同,因此可以用多模光纤光栅代替单模光纤光栅制作光纤传感器以降低成本。实验结果可以作为对光纤光栅进一步深入研究的参考。The strain sensing properties of multimode fiber Bragg gratings are investigated experimentally. Experimental results show that the Bragg wavelength of grating in multimode graded-index fiber is linearly dependent on its axial strain, and the repeatability is good. The strain sensitivity measured in the experiment is (0.0011nm/0.0011nm/(×10^(-6))) which is almost consistent with that resulted from the theoretic calculation. The strain sensing properties of multimode fiber Bragg gratings are similar to that of conventional single-mode fiber Bragg gratings. So, multimode fiber gratings may replace single-mode fiber gratings to produce the sensors. The experimental results can also provide the reference for further studying on multimode fiber gratings.
