摘　　要：What kind of cultural spirit should and can be created with the development in the contemporary society ? It is one problem to be explored thoroughly. People living in a period of social transformation generally have spiritual orientation that is worldly. Imperfect market economy intensifies the paradox between "spirit" and "material". Our knowledge about spirit is quite abstract and partial in the past. If we wish to solve the problems of "spirit" in the fields of reality and theory, we have to follow Marx’s ideas, paying attention to the mutual communication between cultural tradition and modern society especially, as well as the calls of practice with the development.What kind of cultural spirit should and can be created with the development in the contemporary society ?
