摘　　要：20世纪60年代以后,美国大学的创作课、诗歌奖、住校诗人、桂冠诗人等项目的建立对诗歌的发展有很大的影响。诗歌走进公共领域,变得大众化。这时期主要有现实主义诗歌、新形式主义诗歌和语言诗歌等三类。其中,语言诗歌试验性很强。此外,少数族裔诗人的影响也越来越大。20世纪后期的美国诗歌充分体现了多元文化的特色,但没有像艾略特那样的权威和大师。Since the 1960s, American poetry has entered the public sphere because of the establishment of the writing course at universities, different poetry prizes, new and old, the poet-in-residence program and the poet-laureate program. Poetry of this period can be divided into realism, new formalism and language poetry, the last among which is highly experimental. Besides, the influence of minority poets is gaining momentum. On the whole, American poetry of the late 20th century is multi-cultural but lacks a master or authority like T. S. Eliot.
