摘  要:1992年,中国向拉丁美洲各国的商品出口额首次突破10亿美元大关,达到10.76亿美元,比上年增加2.8亿多美元,其增长幅度达35.3%,大大高于中国出口的总增长率(1992年为18.3%)。值得注意的是,这一增长是在我国对拉美中断了原油出口,减少了粮食等大宗商品出口的情况下取得的。这表明,中拉贸易的发展趋势是好的、令人鼓舞的。但是,中拉贸易额在各自的外贸总额中都只占很小的比重。For the past ten years Sino-Latin American trade relations and economic co-operation have been developing rapidly.But one is not the other's important part-ner.China always imports more than it exports to the region.Therefore,fur-ther growth of the Sino-Latin American trade relations must depend on futureincrease of Chinese exports.To meet this end,Chinese trade organizations andbusinessmen should get a clearer understanding of the scope and features of theLatin American market,take advantage of all the favourable cnoditions and op-portunities and overcome the existing difficulties and problems.Besides,it is alsonecessary to formulate feasible strategies and policies on the base of exploringall the possibilities of expanding exports to that region.Chinese businessmen do not have a clear understanding of the importanceof undertaking marketing research and familiarizing themselves with Latin Ameri-ca's political and economic situations.They have also failed to correctly assessthe market potential and their abilities to increase exports.As a result,promo-tions designed to sell products in Latin America are some what like “guerilla acti-vities”,and some enterprises even see the Latin American market as a place toabsorb inventory of poor quality and low price.Elimination of the above wrongthinking and doing is the prerquisite to expand exports to Latin America.
