摘　　要：回顾了国内外城市地质工作的发展历程,阐述了中国城市经济区地质工作的总体思路和内容。由于中国城市的规模、性质、资源承载力、地质环境特征不同,城市地质调查、评价的对象、内容也有所差异。城市地质工作具有学科的综合性、地域的独特性、工作的持久性、方法的多样性等一系列特点。城市地质工作拟在基础地质调查、主题填图、综合评价研究3个层面上展开。城市地质调查评价涵盖资源开发利用、环境安全、灾害评估和信息集成四大主题。The paper reviews the developmental course of urban geological w ork in China and abroad and elucidates the general concept of geological work in China's urban economic areas and content of geologi-cal work.Owing to the differences in magnitude,nature,bearing capacity of natural resources and ge olog-ical environment in China's cities,the targets and content of urban ge ological survey and evaluation are somewhat different.As urban geological work is characterized by integration of multiple disciplines,regional peculiarity ,protraction and diversity of work methods,it is advisable to carry out urba n geological work in three aspects,i.e.fundamental geological survey,themati c mapping and comprehensive evaluation and research.The urban geological survey and evaluation involve four themes,i.e.resources exploitation and u-tiliza tion,environment safety,hazard evaluation and information integration.
