摘　　要：道地药材是中药家族中的一大亮点 ,但缺乏针对性较强的保护办法 ,1999年颁布实施的原产地域产品保护制度目前是保护道地药材的最好方法 ,它的实施在推广道地药材精品、提升产品国际贸易竞争力方面将发挥重要作用。作者扼要的介绍这方面的情况。There are lot of orthodox drugs in Chinese traditional medicine, with good reputation, quality and characteristics, are well known for their place of origin. Appellation of origin and geographic indication (GI) shculd be protected. Implementing system of the protection of GI in Chinese traditional medicine field is very important to extend national elaborate orthodox drugs and raise competitiveness of the goods in international trade.
