摘  要:为研制低磁场条件下的高功率毫米波源,对工作在TM_(01)模的Ka波段相对论返波管(RBWO)开展了深入研究。首先通过理论计算,分析了慢波结构的色散特性及耦合阻抗特性,获得了工作在基模的RBWO结构的基本参数。然后结合数值模拟方法,对器件的工作条件进行了深入分析,对整管进行了数值模拟。结果显示,该结构能够产生的输出功率约为400 MW,微波频率约为28.4GHz,工作效率约为31%。器件的起振小于5ns,产生的模式纯净,工作稳定性较好。To develop a high power millimeter wave generator at low magnetic field,the relativistic backward oscillator(RBWO)operating with TM01 mode at Ka-band is studied.The cold characteristics of the slow-wave structure,including the dispersion and the coupling impedance,are theoretically researched.And the dimensional parameters for the RBWO operating with fundamental mode are accordingly confirmed.Then,through the method of particle-in-cell(PIC)simulations,the performance of the device is further studied under various conditions,and the structure of the RBWO is optimized.The simulation results show that the optimized structure operates stably with a pure output and the output power reaches 400 MW at the frequency of 28.4 GHz,corresponding to the efficiency of 31%.
