摘　　要：描述在SDBE上使用LineObject索引,实现GIS空间查询的过程,介绍面向线类型空间数据对象设计的LineOb-ject索引,包括LineObject索引结构、动态更新算法、Z-次序编码实现算法,并给出索引性能评估结果。This paper presents the execution process of a spatial query using LineIndex index files in Spatial DataBase Engine(SDBE).Also presents the LineObject index technique oriented linetype geometry object,and algorithms of dynam-ically update the index file and an algorithm of Z-ordering code in the LineObject index.Finally,a testing result of per-formance of the LineObject index is given.
