黄遵宪《日本国志》征引书目考释

摘　　要：黄遵宪的《日本国志》是中国人研究日本的经典著作,对近代中国产生了很大的影响,已有不少研究成果问世。但是,要准确评估该书的学术价值,首先有必要搞清它的征引文献,从而分清哪些是黄遵宪的独创,哪些转引自其他资料。黄遵宪的《日本国志》在地理志、物产志、学术志、礼俗志和工艺志中大量征引了《日本地志提要》、《艺苑日涉》和《国史纪事本末》三书,证明了这部分内容并非完全是作者的原创。《日本国志》中征引的这些书皆为学术性很强的著作,黄遵宪在东瀛浩瀚的文献中能钟情于此,说明他具有良好的鉴别资料的识见。征引时,黄遵宪以我为主,态度严谨,有力地保证了《日本国志》的学术性。A classic of Chinese study of Japan, Huang Zunxian's Annals of Japan, has exercised a great influence on modern China, and to the book itself much research has been done. It is natural that most of the researches are carried out from the point of view of ideas and cultural exchange, and little attention is given to the book's bibliography. This paper argues, however, that it is of fundamental significance that the primary facts of Annals of Japan should be determined by separating, through careful bibliographical study, Huang Zunxian's original contributions from his citations of other sources, which will lead to a more accurate academic evolution of the book and a better study towards it. When it comes to citation, the foreign studies works in the Qing Dynasty normally follow one of the two patterns: either clear and complete bibliographies or otherwise. Annals of Japan followed the second pattern. Having actually referred to hundreds of both Chinese and Japanese books and many different Japanese chronicles, the book contains neither definite notes in the course of its text nor any certain bibliography. This largely increased the difficulty of the said work. of separating. After much traveling and crosschecking in Japan, the author was able to find that many sections of Annals of Japan (5 Records in 9 Volumes, including Geographical Records I in Volume 10, Geographical Records II in Volume11, Products Records II in Volume 39, Learning Records II in Volume 33, Etiquette and Customs Records II in Volume 35, Etiquette and Customs Records III in Volume 36, Etiquette and Customs Records IV in Volume 37, Products Records I in Volume 38 and Arts and Crafts Records in Volume 40) quote largely from three Japanese books, namely, Nihonnchisiteiyao, Geiennnissyou and Kokusikijihonnmatu, proving that the parts covered was not Huang's original contribution.
