“峨眉派”详考——兼论峨眉派武术绝非峨眉山武术  

A Study on “Emei Sect” —— Also Discussing that Emei Sect Wushu Is by No Means Mount Emei Wushu

摘　　要：本文以峨眉武术为研究对象,运用相关历史研究方法集中讨论了以下六个方面的问题:1)峨眉武术的起源;2)明代的峨眉武术;3)清代的四川武术与天地会;4)民国时期的峨眉武术;5)峨眉武术与峨眉山武术;6)广东白眉拳与峨眉武术的关系。在此基础上,我们提出如下观点:1)峨眉武术的两种起源都属附会传说;2)明代的峨眉武术自成体系,但进入清代以后历史断裂;3)清代的四川武术没有称峨眉者,且大多与天地会密切相关;4)今人所谓的"峨眉武术"或"峨眉派"的称谓,始于清末明初的武侠小说,后经金庸武侠小说的影响而逐渐流行开来;5)今人所称的峨眉武术即四川武术,而非峨眉山武术;6)广东的白眉拳与峨眉武术没有关系。This thesis takes Emei wushu (martial arts) as its object of study and applies relevant historical research methods to focus on the following six aspects: 1) the origin of Emei wushu; 2) Emei wushu in the Ming Dynasty(1368-1644); 3) Sichuan wushu and the Heaven and Earth Society in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911); 4) Emei wushu during the period of the Republic of China (1912-1949); 5) Emei wushu and Mount Emei wushu; 6) the relationship between Guangdong baimeiquan(white-eyebrow boxing) and Emei wushu. On these bases, we put forward the following viewpoints. 1) Two origins of Emei wushu are both attached to legends. 2) Emei wushu in the Ming Dynasty created a system of its own, but was completely broken after entering the Qing Dynasty. 3) There were no sects calling themselves Emei in Sichuan wushu in the Qing Dynasty, and most sects were closely related to the Heaven and Earth Society. 4) The so-called 'Emei wushu' or 'Emei sect' of today started from wushu novels in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and then, influenced by the wushu novels of Jin Yong afterwards, it has gradually become popular in the country. 5) The so-called Emei wushu by today's people refers to Sichuan wushu rather than Mount Emei wushu. 6) There is no relationship between Guangdong baimeiquan and Emei wushu.
