摘　　要：文章基于语料库的研究方法和手段,运用词频统计、生成主题词表和主要人物的索引行检索等技术手段,对小说《了不起的盖茨比》进行了语篇分析。通过语料分析,文章更具体地把握了小说内容:小说深刻反映了二十世纪二十年代美国的下层社会对上层社会的向往,上层社会人奢侈的生活方式与虚伪残酷的本性等社会风貌。The Great Gatsby,published in 1925 by F. Scott Fitzgerald,is hailed as one of the foremost pieces of American of its time. By means of retrieving word frequencies,generating keyword list and observing concordance lines of the main characters in the novel,this thesis realizes a combination of both quantitative and qualitative analysis based on corpus research methods and tools. The findings showed that linguistic analysis of a novel helps to get a comprehensive understanding of an author's writing style. This novel reflects a panoramic picture of American society in the 1920 s,i. e. the yearning of the lower class towards the upper class,the lavish and luxurious lifestyle of the upper class and their hypocrisy and cruelty.
