摘 要:张之洞在“经世”—“洋务”的路上后来居上 ,“最乐道”“中体西用” ,为“务通”、“务本”力言、力行 ,在晚清大员中罕有比匹。用多维的辩证分析、综合的复合性思维透视 ,张之洞“中体西用”论的文化特色和历史作用是两重性的 ,但其主要政治品格是一种应对“大变”、“全变”历史趋势的新的“不变”论。“中体西用”论是中西文化关系和中国文化整合心路历程上的一座“幽巷”和“迷宫”。生动活泼和不断推陈出新的中西文化关系和中国文化整合 ,不宜也难用“体用”这类带有单一、单向思维定式特征的传统范式去规约。On the road of “manage the country——foreign affairs”, Zhang Zhidong surpassed the others, and his “most favorable for Tao”, “taking Chinese Knowledge as the body, western knowledge for use”, as well as his advocacy of theory and action for “being understanding” and “being fundamental”, was unique in the officials in late Qing Dynasty. Zhang’s theory of “Chinese body and western use” was in a double nature in its cultural features and its historical function by a complex perspective of multi dimentional, dilectical analysis and synthesis, but its main political feature was a new “unchange” theory in corresponding a historical trend of “great change” and “overall change”. Such a teory was a “dark lane” and a “labyrinth” in the psychological process of China western cultural relationship and the synthesis of Chinese culture. The vigorous and on going innovative China western cultural relationship and Chinese cultural synthesis were neither suitable nor easy to be regulated by such a traditional paradigm with the single and one dimentional ideological pattern as its feature.
