摘　　要：系统论认识的基础是系统思想 ,外语教学也需要引进系统思想。本文基于系统思想的本质属性——整体性、层次性、关联性和统一性 ,提出“构块理念”的外语教学思想 ,并指出意义驱动和“先自上而下 ,后自下而上 ,再自上而下”System Thinking, the epistemological basis of System Theory, is necessary to be introduced into foreign language teaching. This paper proposes that the model of “chunk”, prompted by the properties of System Thinking, is a practical approach in foreign language teaching. This paper holds that the principles of the “chunk” approach work effectively only within the frame of meaning driven idea and the system cycle of “top down, then bottom up and finally top down” teaching practice.
