摘　　要：Melancholia is a syndrome due to long-term mental pressure and stress, leading to stagnation of the liver-qi, disorder of qi and malnutrition of the heart-brain. It includes those syndromes recorded in the literature of traditional Chinese medicine such as 'sensation of gas rushing', 'foreign body sensation in throat', 'syncope' and 'hysteria', and those in modern medicine such as 'anxiety neurosis' and 'depression'.Melancholia is a syndrome due to long-term mental pressure and stress,leading to stagnation of the liver-qi, disorder of qi and malnutrition of the heart-brain.
