摘　　要：More than 40 celebrated scientists from around the world came to Kunming, capital of southwest China' s Yunnan Province, to witness the inauguration of the CAS Kunming International Center for Studies of Evolution and Biodiversity (KICSEB), the opening ceremony of which was held on Oct. 27.
