摘　　要：城市商业银行在发展过程中，普遍存在经营规模小、资金成本高、股权结构不合理等问题，特别是中国加入WTO后，它们将进一步面临生存与发展的巨大压力。作者认为，为使城市商业银行迅速摆脱目前经营发展的困境，现实而有效的措施是，尽快着力对城市商业银行的股权进行调整与优化，使之步入一条可持续发展的轨道。:There have been the commonly existing problems such as limited operational scale, high fund cost and unreasonable structure of equity in the process of setting up and development of the City Commercial Bank. With China's entry into WTO, it will face larger pressure of survival and development. In order to rapidly get rid of the difficulties in the operational development of the City Commercial Bank, the author suggests that the most realistic and effective measure is to exert itself to adjust and optimize the equity structure of the City Commercial Bank to put it onto a sustainable track.
