摘　　要：介绍第一篇由中国作者正式发表的研究中国淡水藻类的论文及其作者。1916年,胡烈(即我国著名昆虫学家胡经甫)在上海博物学会编辑、上海文明书局出版发行的《博物学杂志》上发表了《藻类之研究》一文。对其学术价值和在中国藻类学上的意义进行评价。Appearing in 1916 in Journal of Natural History 1(3)27—34 and written by Hu Lie (namely Hu Jingfu, a famous entomologist in China),Study of Algae is the first treatise on Chinese freshwater algae. It was published by Shanghai Wenming Press and edited by Shanghai Natural History Society.In this article,the treatise and its author are introduced in detail with a discussion on its scientfic value and importance.
