摘　　要：“打倒孔家店”是五四新文化运动时期提出的一个最富有鼓动性的口号。在这个口号鼓舞下 ,儒家学说在社会中的独尊地位被推翻 ,民主与科学被广为宣扬。但新文化运动的倡导者们只看到传统与现代的冲突 ,没有看到二者的联系 ,对中西文化只采取简单的二分法判定彼此的优劣。这种全面反传统的倾向 ,留下了深深的隐患。Down with Confucius and sons' was the most stirring slogan during the period of the May 4th new cultural movement. Inspired by this slogan, the sole sovereign status of Confucianism in society was overthrown, and democracy and science were widely spread. However, the advocators of the new cultural movement only saw the conflicts between tradition and modernity, but did not see the links between the two. They only applied the simple dividing method to the judgment of Chinese and Western culture to say which is superior. This over-all anti-tradition tendency has left behind deep hidden troubles.
