摘　　要：基于GIS技术,结合历史文献资料和历史统计资料提供的数据以及采用权威的历史地图作为基图,寻求建立数据同图形的关联,为分析、查询历史时期的资料提供了直观、便捷的手段。Now, GIS(Geographic Information System) technology was widely used in some fields. By contrast, the traditional means was still used in researchs of historical geography, there are few problems were solved by modern science technology. Writer tries to solve some problems by GIS technology. The paper is an example for GIS software- Mapinfo Professional was used in historical geography.
