摘　　要：记述采自云南怒江的黄胡蜂属Vespula一新种:怒江黄胡蜂Vespulanujiangensissp.nov.模式标本保存在中国科学院昆明动物研究所。A new species of the genus Vespula is described in this paper: Vespula nujiangensis sp. nov. The type specimen is deposited in Kunming Institute of Zoology, Academia Sinica. Vespula nujiangensis Dong et Wang, sp. nov. (Figs.1-5)The new species is allied to Vespula minuta arisana (Sonan), 1929, but differs from it in a body length of about 15 mm; slypeus with a median longitudinal brownish mark; head wider than thorax, ODD 0.3 times as long as IOD, OCD 1.2 times as long as OOD; mesoscutum wholly black; metabasitarsus 5.8 times as long as the 2nd tarsus; abdominal segments 2-6 brown, with blackish transverse band on the base.Length of body about 15 mm.Holotype ♀, Nujiang Liuku, Yunnan, Alt. 1 100 m. 25°58′ N. 98°65′ E. September 5, 1996, Coll. Dong Dazhi.
