摘　　要：西部大开发是关系中华民族长远发展的战略之举。图书馆在实施西部大开发中具有信息、宣传、知识传递和创新、人才培养、为精神文明建设服务等重要作用。要充分发挥图书馆在西部大开发中应有的作用必须采取有效的措施和相应的对策。Western development is a strategy to develop the Chinese nation.Library is important in the implementation of western development in the aspect of providing information,promoting,transferring knowledge,training people and serving the construction of spirit civilization.Effective measures must be taken to give full play to the library.
