摘　　要：把 2 0年前提出的北京是全国政治和文化中心的城市性质改为全国政治、经济和文化的中心 ,不仅是必要的 ,也是具有实际意义的。保护好历史文化名城 ,发挥它们的优势 ,并协调保护与新建的矛盾 ,能在建设有中国特色的社会主义过程中起到重大作用。It is not only necessary but also with practical significance to change the statement about the character of Beijing that it is the center of China's politics and culture to the center of China's politics,economy and culture. To protect the famous historical and cultural cities,to develop their superiority and to coordinate the contradictory of protection and construction will play an important role in the process of socialist construction with Chinese feature.
