摘 要:《上海博物馆藏战国楚竹书 (二 )》著录的《民之父母》9号简 ,有“其才A也”之语 ,释文A所代表的字 ,原文左旁作“言” ,右旁作“午”下“又”。学术界的人多认为此字是“许” ,把“其才许也”读为“其在语也”。本文不同意这种释读 ,认为A所从右旁是古文“鞭”的另一种写法 ,此字与郭店楚墓竹简《五行》3 3—3 4号“中心辩然而正行之”之“辩”是同一个字的异体。“其才辩也”之“才” ,当读如本字。“才辩”常见于古书 ,是才智辞辩的意思 ,在简文中指孔子的言论。According to the ninth “Parents of Civilian' bamboo slips which can be found in the “The Bamboo Slips of Chu State in the Warring Period Stored in Shanghai Museum (Ⅱ)', there is a phrase “其才A也' in which the word represented by the symbol of “A' has a “言' as its one character component on the left and a “午' below which there's a “又' as its two character components on the right in the original. The academic circles commonly believed that this word should be the Chinese character “许', and the sentence “其才许也' should be pronounced as“其在语也'. This thesis points out that the word represented by the symbol of “A' should be “bian'(辩). The phrase “cai bian '(才辩) is quite common in the ancient books, which means “ability, intelligence and eloquence', referring to the remarks of Confucius in bamboo slips.
