摘　　要：综述50年来火电厂自动化发展的进程,概括各个时期的国情、自动化方面存在的问题及解决问题的意见或政策,指出火电厂自动化今后的发展方向,并就一些主要名词提出明确的概念。This paper sums up the process of automation development of thermal power plant since 1950s, briefs the national conditions, problems existing in automation aspect and the suggestions or policies on solving the problems, puts forward the future automation development orientation of thermal power plant, and brings forward the definite conceptions about some main terms such as automation level, controllability of main and auxiliary equipment, basic automation equipment etc.
