摘　　要：目前,国内对科技期刊影响力评价的指标主要是影响因子与被引频次;期刊的平均引用率直接影响着这两个指标。只有高质量论文和高平均引用率的期刊才会有高的影响因子与被引频次。通过对《新疆石油地质》的平均引用率、参考文献及其结构、作者群进行分析后认为该刊的平均引用率、被引频次及影响因子有很大的潜力。只要认识到参考文献的引用提高期刊质量缩短论文时滞期的重要性,其影响力自然会有更大的提高。The evaluation about the influence of a scie nt ific-technical journal depends on the effective factor and the quoted frequency in do-mestic journal field,while these indices are mostly based on the averag e quoted rate(AQR)of a jour nal.On the other hand,only a jour nal with high AQR has high effective factor and/or quoted frequen cy.The authors analyze Xin jiang Petroleum Geology in average quoted rate,references,textures and authors available,and suggest that this journal will be of high poten tials in AQR,qu oted frequency and effective fac-tor.If paying more attention to the quotation of the reference which is greatly effecting the quality of the journal and redu cing time-delay peri-od for manuscript publication,it is believed that the i nfluence of Xinjiang Petroleum Geology will be more increased.
