摘　　要：2001年9月11日,举世震惊的美国世贸中心大厦遭受恐怖袭击,20世纪70年代全球建筑经典“双子”座倒塌了。两年来,“9·11”事件不仅引发了人类对安全的新认知,而且也一次次对建筑界发展超高层建筑提出质疑。本文在描述国际上“9·11”事件研究进展的同时,也介绍在国内引起关注的性能化防火设计方法,希望对建筑新技术的引入是个借鉴。On Sept. 11, 2001 the WorldTrade Center was attacked by terrorists.The twin towers in the 70s of the 20thcentury collapsed. In the past 2 yearsthe event has aroused many concernsby mankind and doubts about super-high-rise buildings. The report presentssome study progress on the Sept. 11thevent and introduces method ofperformance-base fire engineeringapproach and some new buildingtechnique.
