中医药治疗老年痴呆症的研究进展(英文)

摘　　要：老年痴呆症是以高级认知障碍为临床特征的一种综合病,属于中医“呆病、痴呆”等范畴,病机为肾精衰枯,髓减脑消,神机失用,以虚痰、瘀为主要病理改变。治则以补肾活血,化痰通窍为主,兼以养心、调气、健脾、和中等。治法多样,有辨证分型论治,固定经验方,针灸等,临床疗效血管性痴呆优于阿尔茨海默病。同时在单味中药提取物及实验研究方面也取得了不少可喜的成果。中医药治疗老年痴呆症有一定优势。但期望在规范证型、统一研究标准上取得更大进展。Senile dementia is a kind of comprehensive disorder characterized by hi gher recognition disturbance, in the category of “feeble-mindedness”in Chines e medicine.The pathogenesis of it is exhaustion of kidney essence,consumption of brain marrow and mental dysfunction.Deficiency,phlegm and stagnation are the ma in physiological changes.The principles of treatment are tonifying kidney,activa ting blood circulation,resolving phlegm and opening orifices,associated with nou rishing heart,regulating qi, strengthening spleen and harmonizing the middle ene rgizer.There are various treating methods,i.e.,treatments based on differentiati on of syndromes,standardized experienced prescriptions, acupuncture &moxibustio n,etc.The clinical therapeutic effect on vascular dementia is superior to that o n Alzheimer's disease.In addition,many great achievements have been obtained on the researches of single herb extracts and experiments.Although Chinese medicine provides a certain advantage on the treatment of senile dementia,the greater pr ogression is expected on the standardizations of syndrome-type classification a nd research.
