摘　　要：美国化学文摘的文摘号与其它检索工具书的文摘号有所不同 ,既有表示文献类型的标识符号P、B、R ,又新增加了表示文献内容特征的标识符号 pr、cat、rct,这就给读者的检索提供了很大的方便 ,值得推广。numbers of CA are different from those of other searching reference books.It has identification symbols such as,P,B,R,which show the type of documents,and it also adds the identification symbols,e.g.pr,cat,rct,showing the characteristics of documents contents.This is worth popularizing for it has provided great conveˉnience for reader's searching.
