摘　　要：一、品种来源及选育经过辽单18号为辽宁省农科院作物育种所于1982年以自选系“辽轮814”为母本,引入系“E28”为父本杂交配制的.经1983年和1984年院内品比试验表现优良,于1985年参加省区域试验,1986年继续参加省区域试验,同时参加省生产试验,1987年进行第二年省生产试验.1988年6月经省农作物品种审定委员会通过审定,并命名推广. 二、品种特征特性幼苗叶鞘呈紫色,叶片绿色,成株高268厘米,穗粒101厘米,茎粗2.6厘米。Liaodan No. 18 was developed from a cross between the local-selected line 'Liaolun 814' as maternal parent and the introduced line 'E28' as paternal parent in 1982. In June, 1988 the hybrid was identifid by Liaoning Provincial Committee of Crop Variety Examination and named to release. The hybrid, with superior grain quality, is resistant to leaf blight, leaf spot, head smut and lodging, and matures with alive stalk. It yielded 9.4-13.7%more than Danyu No.13. It is adapted to cultivation in the fertile fields with the favorite density of 42000～45000 plants/ha. but not in waterlogging, saline-alkali and sterile fields. In multiplication, the soaked maternal seeds were sown in the same time with the paternal seeds, then the paternal seeds were grown again as the maternal plants emergence, so there could be no interval between flowerings of the maternal and the paternal flowers. The row ratio was 4∶1 or 5∶1 (maternal: paternal).
