热极化保偏光纤构成的全光纤电光强度调制器

摘　　要：利用热极化熊猫保偏光纤器件和保偏光纤耦合器 ,构成Mach Zehnder干涉仪结构 ,实验验证了一种新型的全光纤电光强度调制器 由于该光纤电光强度调制器是用全保偏光纤构成 ,解决了偏振衰减问题 。An all optical thermal poled fiber electro-optic intensity modulator has been firstly demonstrated. The modulator is a Mach-Zehnder interferometer constructed by a thermal poling polarization maintaining (PM) fiber device and two PM fiber couplers. The output of intensity modulator is stable without polarization fading as the modulator was constructed by polarization maintaining fiber.
