摘　　要：金属基复合材料的优异性,能以及日益完善的成型工艺,使其可与传统的金属材料竞争,在民用产品中具有广阔的应用前景。较详细地介绍了80年代以来,日、美等一些发达国家在汽车发动机中应用金属基复合材料的情况以及发展趋势。从一个侧面反映了金属基复合材料在民用工业中的应用现状。Metal matrix compesites can compete with traditional matal matarials and have a broad prospect in civil products because of their excellent m(?)chanienl properties and their forming technology being perfected. In this paper, the applications of metal matrix composites to automobile engine and the developing tedency of metal matrix composites are more deailly presented in some developed counties, such as Japan, the United States and so on, since the 1980s. This paper presents one respect of the applications of metal metrix composites to the civil industry.
