As one of the cores of traditional Chinese culture, Confucianism still has a profound impact on our daily lives today. Weddings are called “the beginning of all ages” by Confucian etiquette, which viv-idly reflects the importance of “rituals” in Confucianism of attention. By combing through classics, we learned about the “six rites” of Confucian weddings, and clarified the important position of wed-dings in Confucian etiquette. We found that modern weddings have also undergone changes while inheriting the “six rites” of Confucian weddings. The relationship between modern weddings and Confucian weddings that continue to this day presents an overall characteristic of “a combination of change and immutability”, which has been inherited in some forms without changing, only the spe-cific content has changed. At present, Western wedding culture has caused weddings to gradually lack the connotation of traditional Chinese culture. The article hopes to encourage more young peo-ple to inherit and spread Confucian culture through weddings, in order to enhance cultural confi-dence and contribute to promoting the innovation and revival of Confucian weddings.
