突发公共卫生事件新闻报道的概念隐喻分析——以《中国日报》英文版对新冠疫情的报道为例

摘　　要：信息传播是媒体新闻语言的重要责任与功能,对于社会关系的维系有着很大的影响。后疫情时代,公众对于以新冠肺炎为突出代表的突发性公共卫生事件的关注度居高不下。本研究以《中国日报》英文版对新冠疫情的报道为语料,运用批评隐喻分析来识别和分析语料中出现的各类隐喻关键词,并对其进行隐喻描述和阐释。研究发现,新闻语篇中概念隐喻的应用对于准确传达事件信息、引导社会舆论导向、传递官方信息与态度有着建设性作用。Information dissemination is an important responsibility and function of media news language, which has a great impact on the maintenance of social relations. In the post-epidemic era, the public is paying high attention to public health emergency represented by COVID-19. This study takes China Daily’s coverage of COVID-19 as a corpus, uses critical metaphor analysis to identify and analyze various metaphorical keywords in the corpus, and to describe and explain them metaphorically. It is found that the application of conceptual metaphor in news discourse plays a constructive role in accurately conveying event information, guiding public opinion, and conveying official information and attitudes.
