语用学视角下《夜色温柔》的人物对话分析

摘　　要：作为20世纪“爵士时代”与“迷惘的一代”的代表作家之一,弗•司各特•菲茨杰拉德具有自传体性质的长篇小说《夜色温柔》引起了各大学者的广泛关注。本文运用语用学中的合作原则与礼貌原则,对《夜色温柔》中的人物对话进行分析,旨在揭示小说中人物对话的言外之意,进一步加深对人物性格,作品内涵与作家写作技巧的理解。同时,也可加深读者对当时时代的把握及作家本身的了解。As one of the representative writers of the “Jazz Age” and “The Lost Generation” in the 20th cen-tury, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s autobiographical novel Tender is the Night has attracted widespread attention from scholars. By applying the Cooperation Principle (CP) and Politeness Principle (PP) in pragmatics, this paper makes an analysis of the dialogues in Tender Is the Night, aiming to reveal the implication of the dialogues in the novel, and further deepen the understanding of the characters, the connotation of the work and the writer’s writing skills. At the same time, it can also deepen readers’ grasp of the times and the author himself.
