国际新闻对北京冬奥会的评价态度研究——以CNN新闻为例

摘　　要：本研究运用评价理论探讨了2022年北京冬奥会开展背景下的媒体态度变化。通过比较分析美国有线电视CNN对冬奥举办前和举办中的新闻报道,本文发现:1) 在议题聚焦上:冬奥举办前和举办中的报道议题虽然相似,都包括了运动员、疫情、政治、外交等方面,但是报道篇幅与内容的侧重点不同。在冬奥举办前,CNN大幅报道与疫情有关的内容。然而在冬奥举办中,CNN对疫情的相关报道篇幅减少,对冬奥运动与运动员的报道篇幅增大。2) 在评价态度上:情感分析结果表明虽然CNN报道冬奥会呈现出了正面认可与批评态度的双重性、矛盾性,但整体上CNN对此次冬奥会举办前和举办中报道内容呈积极态度。The study utilized the appraisal theory to investigate how media attitudes changed during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Through a comparison and analysis of news coverage by CNN, a cable tele-vision network in the United States, both before and during the Winter Olympics, the study identi-fied the following findings: 1) In terms of topic focus: The news coverage before and during the Winter Olympics shared similar topics, including athletes, the pandemic, politics, and diplomacy. However, there were differences in the emphasis and content of the reporting. Prior to the Winter Olympics, CNN extensively covered content related to the pandemic. However, during the actual event, the coverage on pandemic-related topics decreased while there was an increase in coverage on Winter Olympic sports and athletes. 2) In terms of attitude evaluation: The results of sentiment analysis indicated that although CNN’s coverage of the Winter Olympics exhibited a dual and con-tradictory attitude of both positive recognition and criticism, overall, CNN displayed a positive atti-tude before and during the Winter Olympics.
