翻译风格论视角下爱伦•坡恐怖小说翻译研究——以《黑猫》曹明伦译本为例

摘  要:作为二十世纪美国文学的先驱式人物,爱伦•坡在吸纳传统哥特元素的基础上,进一步结合现实生活,开创心理恐怖小说先河。《黑猫》作为其恐怖小说一大代表作,从主题到语言都尽显其创作风格。曹明伦是爱伦•坡作品在中国译介的主要译家,其译著获国内译界普遍认可。鉴此,本文选取爱伦•坡《黑猫》曹明伦译本为研究对象,以翻译风格论为理论工具,从形式标记中的词语标记、句法标记及修辞标记对曹译本就原文风格再现进行分析,并对相关翻译方法进行归纳总结。本文将首先从词语、句法及修辞三方面对原文风格特征进行分析,其次对曹译本就此三方面对原文风格的再现进行探究,最后对译本为再现原文风格采用的翻译方法进行总结。As a pioneer of American literature in the 20th century, Allen Poe has paved the way for psycholog-ical horror stories by injecting a realistic sense into traditional gothic elements. Black Cat, as Poe’s representative horror story, fully embodies his typical style both in the theme and in the language. Given that Cao Minglun has been recognized as a renowned translator of Poe’s works in China, with his translation well received in translation community, this paper focuses on Cao’s translation of Black Cat, analyzes the reproduction of the style of the original text in the target text, from the per-spective of translation style, by delving into three formal markers, including the lexical markers, syntactic markers and markers of figures of speech, and concludes translation methods involved in the translation process. To be specific, the paper begins with an analysis of the original text in terms of the lexical and syntactic features and the figures of speech, then explores how Cao has managed to reproduce the style of the original text in his translation from these three aspects and finally provides a conclusion of the translation methods employed to facilitate such a style reproduction.
