概念隐喻视域下人物权势关系解读——以《高级英语》“Blackmail”一课为例  

Interpreting Power Relations among Characters from the Perspective of Conceptual Metaphors—A Case Study of “Blackmail” in Advanced English

摘　　要：本研究以《高级英语》“Blackmail”一课为研究语料,以概念隐喻理论为理论视角,考察了课文文本中人物权势关系的变化发展。分析表明,文本中能够反映人物权势关系动态发展的主要概念隐喻可分为7类子隐喻,其中出现频次较高的隐喻为接触隐喻、战争隐喻与火焰隐喻。从人物权势关系的角度看,概念隐喻能够间接展现“讹诈”过程中谈话主导权的转移现象,有效体现人物权势关系的发展与变化。This study, taking “Blackmail” in Advanced English as research material, examines the changes in power relations among characters in the text from the perspective of conceptual metaphors. The analysis reveals that the main conceptual metaphors reflecting the dynamic development of power relations among characters can be divided into seven categories of sub-metaphors, with the most frequently occurring metaphors being the contact metaphors, war metaphors, and fire metaphors. From the perspective of power relations among characters, conceptual metaphors in the text can indirectly show the transfer of conversational dominance in the process of “Blackmail”, effectively reflecting the development and changes in power relations among characters.
