摘　　要：埃德加•爱伦•坡被誉为世界侦探小说鼻祖。众所周知,“侦探”这一形象最早来源于才华横溢的文学作者爱伦坡,他以高瞻远瞩的眼光,对“侦探”形象进行了一系列的探索与尝试。虽然爱伦•坡到晚年才开始创作侦探小说,并且在他的所有作品中侦探小说占比并不大,但无一不是经典,形成了独特的侦探小说风格,也因此成为国际文学界侦探小说创作的“鼻祖”,为后世想要从事文学创作的侦探小说家树立了比较成功的典范。在他的著名小说《莫格街凶杀案》中,首次出现了“杜邦侦探”的形象,他充满文学意味的探索为“侦探杜邦”这一文学形象的塑造埋下了伏笔。本文将从《莫格街凶杀案》入手,探讨了爱伦坡笔下的侦探杜邦的人物形象特点以及对后世侦探小说创作的启示。Edgar Allan Poe is regarded as the originator of detective fiction in the world. It is well known that the image of the ‘detective’ first came from the talented literary author Edgar Allan Poe, who had the foresight to explore the image of “the detective”. Although Edgar Allan Poe began to write detective novels only in his later years, and in all his works detective novels do not account for a large proportion, none of them are not classics, forming a unique style of detective novels, and therefore he became the “originator” of the international literary detective novels. For detective novelists who want to pursue a literary career, Edgar Allan Poe sets a more successful example. It was in his famous novel The Murders in the Rue Morgue that Dupont the detective made his first appearance. Edgar Allan Poe’s literary explorations set the stage for the literary figure of Dupont the detective. In this article, we explore the characterisation of Edgar Allan Poe’s portrayal of the detective Dupont and the inspiration for future detective novels, starting with “The Murders in the Rue Morgue”.
